Just looked through your portfolio Peter. Some lovely work there. You ask on one of them what is the value of practising on practice paper. My experience of practice paper is that it doesn't interact with the paper like good watecolour papers so you miss out on th 'happy accidents' that can occur when painting and practising. Part of the fascination of watercolour painting is the unexpected element of surprise when the paint reacts with the paper. Use the best you can afford and experiment on different papers to see whch you like best. Your paintings are worth it. Jean

Nice story and lovely painting. You have conveyed the speed very well.

Another lovely painting Peter, agree entirely with Sarah a wonderful feeling of pure speed, magic.

I like the colours and the clouds/sky Peter.

When I first saw this painting, I just had to give it a try. The original, which was owned by a work associate, was painted by a World War Two pilot whilst on stand by, waiting for scramble alert. The medium used was the spitfire camouflage paint. Think the technical accuracy of the spitfire could have been better. Blockingford not - 140 lb - 45 x 30 cm
