I love this painting, very well done

What a darling. Beautifully painted and a super portrait of a canine senior citizen.

Beautiful colours in his coat, you've really done this old boy justice.

I knew an old dog much like this, similar age if not a little bit older - he had a heart attack over Christmas, aged around 19, and was revived with a shot of Christmas pudding brandy - he lived for a further 2 years after that, with a little help from more brandy.... I have taken his example to my own heart, and whenever I feel a little peculiar I reach for the brandy bottle. NB - I don't recommend this for your own aged dog; on the other hand, if he's 19, can it really do much harm...?

This is a lovely portrait of a very old dog. As Val says you have certainly done him justice.

Just came on to this stunning painting of old boy, and I have to say its positivly outstanding, but at the same time uncanny becouse its a mirror image of our dear old dog sally who we sadly lost today aged 18, thank you.

I really do like this picture. All your animal pictures are excellent. This one is my favorite as I think he looks so content.

Thank you for you're comments. To Susan myatt, sorry to hear about you're dog, just noticed you're message on here.

I am cheered Paul. This dog is the image of my old boy - Lewis who will be 13 next month. He had a slight stroke last September but has made a great recovery except for slightly weak back legs. We are expecting to lose him in the not-too-distant future - due to his age. But maybe like these other similar dogs, mentioned here, he might live a lot longer than we anticipate. Whatever the outcome Paul, there is no denying that you are a brilliant artist. Your animal portraits move me to tears. Thank you.
