This tree is at the back of the lookout at Guyra (New South Wales, Australia). The lookout is not hight enough, but I did get some good photographs of the tree. In this painting the main tree trunk, smack in the middle of the painting is - I hope jumping off the canvas...so to speak. I have another painting of the top half of the gum tree ...I will post that up soon.
