Oil on Board. Quite a large painting approx 25" x 20". I went to Sledmere estate to sketch the scene - it was a beautiful sunny day in early Spring when I left home. When I arrived at Sledmere the mist & fog had descended, hence the finished sketch and subsequent painting was not quite what I originally intended. I gave the board quite a textured coat of gesso to see the brushstrokes, not sure whether it works or not.
