A beautiful study of the Lapwing, the detail is wonderful. This would look good in any Bird reference book.... i used the word Bird because I cant spell the ****** ology word

A beautifully detailed drawing. Congratulations! Somehow, in the process of converting a painting from paper to a digital picture on screen, the image seems to lose the "whiteness" . I have found it necessary to bring back the contrast using Photoshop software but I wonder if one can adjust the scanner colour balance?

Thankyou all for your comments which are very encouraging as I have only recently started with the pencil, I find it much more demanding than my usual charcoal, but very rewarding.

Yes Chris, I agree, the whiteness always seems to be lost, I used my camera for the transfer, maybe I should have altered the contrast first! thanks for comment I find I can get into the detail with pencil.
