Silk painting using black gutta. 14 x 11'', from my picture taken on a visit to the artist enclave in Montmartre, last September. I used pieces of collage from a newspaper bought while we were there......map of Paris and other pieces. I stuck them onto white mountboard with white acrylic, then when dry, painted acrylic gloss medium, over the newsprint to mask it from the silk.......not seen this done before and wondered if it would work! It did.!
