Weak Winter Sun
A charcoal drawing using willow and compressed charcoal. Attempting to use different ways to create interesting marks and tonal variety to this high contrast scene. When I’d finished with the charcoal, I felt the sun needed a bit of colour, to bring across the very pale sunlight we sometimes get in the winter. I added a reflection of the sunlight on the icy snow to connect the composition.
