I have just come across this image, and was surprised to discover just how long it was since I painted this experimental semi-abstract landscape. The village up on the hill is Sowerby, in West Yorkshire, and the painting is based on drawings I made looking up from the village of Luddenden Foot. Painted in oil on canvas.
