Thank you for your comment about the brushwork, Heather. I'm remembering now that I probably executed it in gouache - certainly it looks like it, and that makes sense as I perfected my brushwork post teacher training college by buying myself just two (very expensive!) sable brushes, a flat and a very small round, and working with just these alone. Never regretted the self imposed discipline!

Beautifully painted.

So very effective. I love the detailed grasses in the landscape.

A pleasing viewpoint to work from, but I had to hurriedly shift my position further to one side as the tractor arrived to start on the day's ploughing ! Well worth the slight inconvenience, though...those glistening rows of freshly turned earth were a gift! Painted Plein Air in Acrylic
