A lot better than my first attempt, which I destroyed many years ago.... Break up the foliage a bit, including sky-holes, and don't forget the shadows; suggest you mix a bit more white with your paint, it's the colour that oil painters use most, hence the quantities in which it's sold. Try using big brushes, and laying the colour on in slabs, one against another (then adding as much detail as you like). You're braver than I am to post your first attempt!

I like the vibrancy of your colours. (Good advice from Robert but don't overdo the white and lose this colourfulness) Lovely painting for your first attempt at oils. Mine was disastrous! jx
