Loving this Janet! Your choice of colour for the sea is perfect and in fact reminds me very much of Monet's Normandy coast paintings. By keeping your darks in the foreground also help to give a real sense of depth. Keep up the awesome work Janet! Cheers Glyn

Janet Scott sent in her painting of 'West Porthmeor Beach' inspired by Monet and Glyn Macey saying: 'I sat on a slippery rock that was covered in seaweed, with my foot in a rockpool and my acrylics at hand and painted this picture, trying to maintain brisk brushstrokes and slightly heightened colour. I used some cobalt blue in the rocks to enhance their rather slate-grey appearance. After an hour or so I had to stop because of the wind and the drizzle. The surfers, however, were still in the sea. Good fun!'
