What a fabulous sky, makes for a great painting.

Very striking picture.

This is great Janet! Being inspired by an artist such as Turner doesn't mean your work should be a copy but your interpretation of techniques, subjects and atmosphere. And I think you have been really successful with your painting. Strong, rich blacks against a sunset are Turner all the way! Cheers Glyn

Janet Scott sent in her Turner inspired painting saying: 'When I saw Glyn's painting in the April issue, I remembered a photo I had taken in January from the passenger seat of the car as we drove up the M40 from London towards Birmingham. There really were wide streaks of orange-red in the sky. I just cropped the photo to a square format to use for this painting. I tried to follow Glyn's method, using acrylic for the landscape and black ink for the pylon. It doesn't look at all like Turner's paintings, but at least I had a go'
