Karen Davidson sent in her work saying: 'This is my painting inspired by Hockney. I used felt pens as this was the only way I could achieve bright colours. Of course felt pens have a habit of drying out at the wrong moment so it’s not exactly as I had envisaged. Also the sea (behind the swimming pool) was too much to colour in in felt pen so I used watercolour & the felt pen bled… ooops. This is what happens when you step outside your comfort zone - It is what it is.'
