Mike Robinson too up Glyn's challenge to paint flowers this month and sent in these poppies saying: 'I am an old guy living in Salford, Manchester. Actually still working hard at my day job until retirement releases me. I used to do a lot of cartoons for newspapers in South Africa. Last year I spent a lot of time in my studio inventing florals in a very fast and loose style. I will send you a couple of examples without preamble - all my paintings are the result of wild flower observations whilst walking the little dog. Always in acrylic because it dries so fast. On a good day a painting can be done easily within an hour. Sometimes they stay with me for ever - being "touched up" here and there'
