Paul Talbot-Greaves Challenge Five - September 2017
Christine Kyles sent in her version of Paul's challenge saying: 'I washed over the paper with cobalt blue, well diluted, for most of the top half and did like-wise with a mix of veridian green and sage green on the lower half. I outlined the river with a wash of cobalt blue and Payne's grey. The detail of the trees and bushes was put in with Hook green and layered with yellow ochre, sage and veridian green. For the distant mountains and hills I used well diluted Payne's grey with a light touch of cobalt blue. I found it a really testing watercolour piece and without thinking I used the same large watercolour brush for most of it except for the minute detail of the grasses and the telegraph pole'
