Rod Funnell sent in his version of Paul's challenge this month saying: Watercolour on Arches NOT. 14" x 10" White Night artists watercolours Method: 1. Rough sketch in pencil from enlarged scan of photo. 2. Several light washes of cobalt blue, graded, for sky. 3. Light wash of cadmium yellow on grassed area. 4. Masking fluid on gate and fence posts. 5. Ultramarine and light red for distant hill. 6. Gradual buildup of greens and yellow for trees and grass and some ultramarine to darken shadows 7. Some light scratching for grass.
