From ArtistsNetwork.TV: In this workshop, Lian Quan Zhen demonstrates that by merging these two methods you will be able to paint more freely and spontaneously and learn how to capture the essence and spirit of animals in your painting. Lian starts with Chinese painting brushstroke exercises before showing how to use watercolors and Chinese inks together. He introduces you to techniques including color, pouring, blending, loading multiple colors and splashing. He creates many colorful subjects—fish, rooster, cats, dogs and more.
