Celia Brooks followed Paul's challenge with this portrait of her daughter, Anna, saying: 'I took a photograph on a bright sunny day as it emphasised the colour in her hair and the softness of her complexion. It took several hours to complete. I thought it would be difficult to achieve a good likeness, but I discovered, that as her mother, and knowing her face so well, it was easier than I thought, and I thoroughly enjoyed painting it. Anna liked the painting and approved'
