This version was sent in by Thomas Horsley who says: 'I started with a nine inch square piece of cardboard that I had already primed with a mid grey tone. I applied a bright orange ground using Cadmium Red and Cadmium Yellow and some thick texture paste for interest. The palette also included Ultramarine, Titanium White and a very small amount of Burnt Umber. Produced using mostly a number 12 round brush and finished with a number 2 filbert. Some marks made using scrunched tissue paper and also a dry no. 12 brush. Pink tones were added to help bring out the greens. Trees softened using White and Ultramarine wash'
