Thank you! I enjoyed putting on the creamy white hawthorn blossom, which looks better on the actual painting.

This oil sketch will feature in a special exhibition in Keswick Museum and Art Gallery from January 15th 2024. Working as an inventory volunteer there, I came across a lithograph of the pioneering Cumbrian physicist John Dalton, whose researches led him to surmise the existence of the atom. The "Dalton Way" is a walking trail that runs from Cockermouth (via Dalton's birth village) to Calder Hall on the coast. My picture was sketched from the John Dalton Way.
