Light through the Firs

This is beautiful, Keith. The light catches the pastel so well and vice versa. Super painting.

When you look at this closely, all the fine detail you imagine is there actually isn't: it's all subtle changes of colour, small and ever-varying shapes and strokes of the pastel..... it creates beautiful effects and, although I've not seen the landscapes you paint, they convince me completely.

I like the colours used in this pastel, do you use pencils?

Thank you all for your comments.Regarding the query on use of pencils the only one I use quite a lot is charcoal (very soft).
