It's a fabulous pastel. I painted a tiger too and I know exactly what you mean about the confusion of stripes!

A fabulous pastel, Olga. The technical execution of the tiger’s markings is impressive, especially considering the inherent complexity and 'confusion' of the stripe patterns. You have successfully maintained the anatomical structure while integrating the subject into the fluid environment of the water.

I loved painting this tiger in the water; the stripes on its body confused me a bit, and I even dreamt about them. But it was a lot of fun. (Pastel and pastel pencils on Pastemat paper)
