I saw the Spanish replica of the Victoria last year and took some photos, It was part of the Fleet that sailed with Ferdinand Magellan in 1529 to prove the world was round. Only The Victoria survived returning three years later with 18 men. I have painted her at sea in a wild place exploring as she was meant to. The flag however is incorrect , it should apparently be a diagonal red cross for Charles the first of Spain, must change it later.
