Cold day in the hills

Of course it does. Especially if you don't actually tell anyone that's what you did. Send some of your snow down to the Isle of Wight if you would; I'd like to avoid a whole range of meetings. Then I'll see if I'm brave enough to go out and paint in the freeze. Delicate painting, very harmonious tones and colours.

Definatly out there with the elements, I often sit in the car if its cold/wet/horrid. I also think that that you can tell this is a painting done in situ. It has a lovely freshness and a lively quality.

I'm so jealous! We have no snow and I keep seeing these marvellous snowy views being posted, well done. Like your composition and soft colour work.

Definitely - I have done that many a time (VW Tiguan rather than a LR!) The weather in this country makes you inventive. Lovely misty, cold scene - you plainly enjoyed doing this and it shows in the work - well done.

I keep reading in the local papers about the famous artists that go and brave all conditions to paint the pennines, so I thought I'll give it a try. Does it still count as Plein air when done through the windscreen of a Land rover ?
