Lovely composition Elizabeth and I love your use of blue for the shadows.

I love this painting. I have an oil on the back burner - a landscape with cows in the foreground but I keep getting stuck with the cows! This might just motivate me to put the work on the easel again. Thanks x<br />

Ther&#39;s only one way to paint cows and that&#39;s to sit in front of them with your sketch book! I think they are more challenging to draw than horses. Horses are all curves but cows have a slightly angular anatomy. Very tricky but worth being persistent at the drawing stage.<br /><br />
