I love the old Dutch masters for their realism (realism without photo-realism) and I love this piece for the same reason .... the texture of the fruit and the paper all lit with a sublime ethereal light. Just perfect......Steve

You are definitely the Still Life Queen.Ditto the Dutch Masters comment. Really get depressed by photorealism (just seen the BP Portraits Award), it does nothing for me because there is NO PAINT in evidence. Your painting illustrates the difference between realism and photo-realism.Super.
