Oil on linen panel. 30 x 30 cm, 2025. Bit tricky to sit in a greasy spoon and paint but l was struck while in such an establishment by the iconic collection of items on the table so thought I’d have a crack at applying my normal traditional approach to a more contemporary subject from a photo that I took, adding the tiled background inspired by another artist’s painting I’d seen in a gallery somewhere.
