Thank you for reminding everyone what arts all about -- skill and craft

Beautiful. Did you go to university/college to learn such lovely calligraphy? Have you written your own special invitations for family and friends Neil?

Very beautiful; you have the sure and steady line that, unfortunately, I lacked when I tried calligraphy.

What a pleasure to behold!

So beautiful and such a skill which like Robert I lack

It is always a great pleasure that so many people enjoy looking at letters. We see so many of them in our lives that in isolation they seem to take on a different existence..... I have a life long interest in letter forms Jennette and in my early years studied under several Calligraphers...most notable was a local Devon Calligrapher Ann Brightmore-Armour... and David Nicholls at the Open College of Art. Once you have the basics and can be very highly self critical... It is like everything else practice, lettering daily for many years. You then can research and understand how a Calligraphers mind a thousand years ago was working out a particular letter.... I have done Family and close friends Weddings and sadly Funerals...... this is getting far to long Thank you all again!

Magnificent work. I love the skillful application and the interesting way to display the written work.

I want to paint letters for a banner can you help me with something simple
