Oh Neil, how sad. You have certainly captured the lost expression. Well done.

Agree with Carole, this is a very powerful image. It is so sensitive, I hope that it is not one of your relatives who is facing the turmoil. Well done also on your Mother Courage. again a face full of history and powerful in its own way.

I know the feeling well! Overwhelmed by life I think it is called. It is only after looking at the painting for a while, you realise that it is executed using only two or three colours. It appears very colourful, yet has a very restricted palette - very clever stuff. Wonderful portrait.

Thank you...A generic image Angela I am interested in painting expressions rather than portraits. Rather like the internal landscape of the face. Your spot on Thea..Cadmium Red...Raw Umber...Indatherine Blue.

I just love all your paintings, they have such feeling in them and all tell a story.

Hi Neil...you paint to capture expressions...now I know what it is I see in your work, thank you. Stunning is the word, I think.

Truly appreciated Phil

I know that expression as a nurse...you have captured it perfectly...I too love your paintings there is so much humanity in them...this is stunning indeed

Neil, I have commented on this in the past. I think you painted this just before or after you were ill? I always imagined it was you? Such a powerful image.

My wife was a nurse to Patsy... a job she loved...Doctors and Nurses have the blackest sense of humour she always brings be back down to earth. Yes you have Jeannette... not me but I have seen the turmoil that goes on.Thank you again.
