Wow, clever idea and great versions of those famous pictures.

That’s incredibly small Lynda. I admire miniature paintings very much, and, as you say, they are fun to do. These days I can’t manage anything smaller than 6 x 4 inches…considerably larger than yours. I think you’ve made a splendid job of these truly miniature paintings…they look wonderful as a group.

Well done you, going small is very hard!

oh, so lovely made!!!! 💕

They are all lovely !!

What a selection. I am sure everyone recognises the artists.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments.

I did find it quite a challenge, not least finding nine paintings in portrait format. It also gave me more insight into these great works of art. I'm sure you know them all but they are: Under the Wave of Kanagawa, Japanese Bridge - Monet, Girl with a Pearl Earring - Vermeer, Sunflowers - Van Gogh, Whistler's Mother, Woman with a Parasol in a Garden - Renoir, Mona Lisa, The Scream - Munch and Rain, Steam and Speed - Turner.

Great result and a bit of fun.

Great collection 👌

Super work, Lynda - well done!

I was at a loss as to what to do with a small picture frame that I own, so decided to fill it with some famous paintings. I don't think I will be taking up miniature painting - much too hard on the eyes, but a fun project! Each frame is 1 1/2" x 2". Watercolour, water-soluble pencil & pen.
