And on Facebook you ponder whether it might be a good idea to paint fast more often - well: I think it might; it depends what you're after - this has immediacy, and although there's not a lot of detail in the landscape, there's enough - and there's precision and balance in the sky which works well together with the painting as a whole. Your more considered work is different - I wouldn't say better or worse, just: different. Differently GOOD, I should perhaps add at this juncture....

An evocative painting of Dartmoor. Considering it took only 30 minutes, you have captured the essence of the place. I like it

This is the 30 minute demonstration painting that I did at the SAA's 'It's All About Art' Show on July 25th. It is painted using Artisan water mixable oils on an 10" x 12" canvas board.
