Super Mick - composition, colours and brushwork

I know how it feels, though I still have some foliage left. Very cleverly done, you think there's a lot of detail, but then you look closely and it's nearly all suggested, to make the eye work. You'll have had a lot of fun, I think, depicting those twisting boughs.

700x500mm Oil on canvas - What was the main trunk of the tree is completely dead and stripped of bark - most probably the result of a lightning strike (or perhaps over-zealous, mechanical hedge-trimming?) - but the tree survives!
