That is an excellent painting of the mighty Mk2 Vulcan. It captures the size and power and stance of it perfectly. (I couldn't resist a try at one myself in 2017. I have made a few aircraft paintings so far and am currently working on a Beriev Be12p-200.

Very nice piece of work Noel, it looks as if the aircraft is on the runway end revving up ready for take off and this is exactly how they looked in real life. Very sad to see the demise of this fine V bomber which as I recall last saw active service bombing the runway at Port Stanley on the Falkland Islands during the conflict.

Excellent painting Noel, bring back memories o sitting on the enforcer he runs s they took off and landed , the fumes and noise was horrendous, but such beautiful looking aircraft..

Don’t know what happened with my comment it changed in transit. I was trying to say sitting on the end of the runway.

Thanks for your comments guys, I will keep a look out for the Beriev picture when you post it Stevie. I was a bit confused initially with the comment you made Dixie but quite understand how predictive text works or in your case didn't. I am pleased that the picture showed the power of this big beast.:-)

I still find the Vulcan bomber was the most iconic aircraft that ever graced our skies. I tried to capture the magnificence and power of the take off.
