your a fantastic draughtsman and a lovely watercolourist , love it and these wonderful characters

I love this Philip! All your paintings of Dads Army have been so good!

Thank you Dennis and Margaret. They have been fun to do and I have been heartened by the positive responses to them. I may do one final piece, in a similar style to this, three characters on a sheet- Messrs Hodges and Yateman, and Revd Farthing for spiritual guidance!

Great as always! Very inspiring Philip.

Thanks Ibolya. Praise indeed.

Excellent work with the home guard heroes Phillip. Great characters all. Nicely done.

Thank you Jim. Appreciated.

This is great Philip. I love Dads Army.

Yes me too Carolyn. In fact I'd go on to say that my enthusiasm and affection for a given subject in no small way impacts on the results, hence my recurring themes of Dad's Army, trad jazz, animals, Southampton Football Club, traditional beer/pubs etc.

Thank you Sandra. Appreciated.

Beautifully captured

Thank you David. I enjoy portraiture and comments such as yours are a vindication.
