I love the splashes of colour here Philip. Is one to be chosen or both? I painted a watercolour of my Labrador when he was young yet couldn't bring myself to hang it after he died.

I think this is my preferred version of the two - but both are touching and evocative. (Actually, having kept dogs for most of my life, but not now - although I enjoy my landlord's, vicariously - this makes me a bit misty-eyed, to be quite honest.)

Another eighth imperial sheet sketch of Harvey, done to commission on 200lb Saunders NOT. Hopefully this will keep memories alive of this wonderful dog.
