A sparrow

Thankyou Heather and Sylvia. I'm enjoying using watercolour. It seems to have changed my style slightly which I didn't intend especially in landscape.

He's a cheery little bird - the weaker parts of the painting are the feet, but I do like the expression you've put into the face and eyes, and the pose/poise of the bird. Yes, drawing skills come the more you practise them - and you're easily three-quarters of the way there, so fill a sketchbook or two, I suggest. By the way - I recognized this as one of yours even before I saw your name: which means you have a strong style that comes over in everything you do: and that's good.
