Great wintry scene and another fine addition to your local scenes. What a good idea to capture old Syston. I would be inspired to try old scenes in my various boyhood locations, but they are now at the other end of the country so very rarely visit !

In the 1960's there were 8 pubs in Syston Sylvia. Prior to then there had been more. The cottage in this painting was the village undertakers at the time but previously it had been a pub - The Wolf and Lamb.
