I started this painting years ago with the sky and then thought I had lost the base photo so recently experimented with the colours of the mountains. Then searched around and found the base photo and so was able to get the boat and foreground finished. Used quite a bit of Indigo for the boat with some Burnt Sienna. Rubbish cheap paper meant that the paint absorbed rather than staying on top to be manipulated.
