Soraya's sunflowers
Acrylic 15"x15" This is my own interpretation of Soraya French's painting in the January 2020 edition of the Artist. I had never used "her" sort of colours before so it was a learning experience but like the result - and what better for such drama than sunflowers! It looks unpolished, but so does Soraya's. As she says "there is a temptation to keep going but standing back helps you find the sweet spot when you can call it a day on a painting", doing more might be counter-productive.
