This is a very lively and beautifully painted piece, Midori. There's so much movement captured in the painting. It's lovely!

I agree with Seok Yam Chew, and you've painted it with such delicate washes, Midori, yet the image is strong and the palm trunk has a properly solid form. Magic!

Another wonderful addition to your gallery, Midori. I think it best to leave the date palm climbing to the experts who make it look so easy - but am sure it isn't.

Hi Seok, I wanted to paint date workers like this for a long time. Finally some workers came to in front of our apartment last week. I felt really lucky. Time to come to paint one of them.

Hi Caloline, I dídn't want to paint all date trunk. If I paint back ground dark next time, it would be a different resolt. I'm so excited to try this some day againg. Thank you.

Hi Jane, Yes,I agree with you. It seems easy, but it wouldn't. But I used to climb trees, when I was a kids like a monkey. so it is tempting.
