A very well painted portrait. Great contrast and tones. The flowers are a great addition. Can"t wait for the summer so we can grow our own Marigolds. Well done Midori. This deserves to be on the front page longer than it has.

Agree with Chris this is indeed a lovely watercolour with great colour depth, really good perceptive rendition of his face and of how uncomfortable he was feeling self consciously posing for your photo, but you got enough in that photo to complete this painting beautifully

I went to a park day day before yesterday. The gardeners were working hard. One worker was removing marygolds, because the season has almost finished. I asked him I wanted to take a photo of him. He posed with marygold. That was a really gorgeous moment.
