Just spotted this at 7.30 am UK time - this is great one Midori - almost abstract and I love the composition - thanks for your comments against my latest posting

This caught my eye Midori, I love bird paintings, I'm not sure what they are but love your style and the composition. Just been looking through your gallery - brilliant!

Oh this is lovely Midori. I like Gill Armstrong's phrase, 'art life', much better than cheesy old 'journey'. Like Gill, I'm early on in my art life, and I find when I see work like yours here, it kind of makes me go "Oh! I hadn't even thought of painting like this", and I feel all re-inspired. I love the colours - the little touches of green really lift it and it wouldn't be the same without them; the loose background, the birds' individuality yet togetherness too - you've captured a real sense of 'birdness'!
