I like the design element to your dog portraits, Mick, especially this one with its bold composition.

Thank you Jenny, Only started painting last year the dog portraits are all friends pets, and they seem pleased enough, but I still have much to learn. Posted some here to get some feedback from more experienced artists.

Mick, if you'd like feedback from other POL members it would be a good idea to enter some details about yourself under your profile and mention that you'd welcome feedback. People are always willing to offer advice If it's asked for. I've only been with POL for the past six months but have found everyone to be very friendly and encouraging.

The fur is a masterpiece. Have a look at how to fore shorten if you look at his left leg because of the way you have painted him it looks too small and misshaped. because it is much nearer to you you could have enlarged it a lot. I would also look at the lights and darks e g his tongue . As a painting its lovely.
