Really good painting Michael, the sea is fantastic

Excellent artwork Michael.

Superb! The waves look so turbulent and one can really experience the momentum where the Bluenose Schooner is leant over yet sailing with might and a steady keel! Great gusto felt in this painting, excellent!

The scene makes me feel like holding on to my seat. Lovely stormy sea, and interesting details in the description.

Love this, the seas are wonderful and the sails and masts of that boat excellent

A really good painting.

Bluenose schooners were used by North American/Canadian crews to fish off the Grand Banks in the North Atlantic. Small boats called dories were launched from the schooners to do the fishing .Conditions could be severe with high winds and very cold weather. I was fortunate to see a lone surviving Blue Nose off Halifax, Nova Scotia many years ago.
