I love life drawing but particularly drawing the female back. Such a challenge with the amazing subtlety of tone that is evident. To help with this, I supplemented my customary cross-hatching technique with applying graphite dust (from pencil-sharpening) with a dry paintbrush. This has been selected for the Armed Forces Art Society Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, 11-17 Jul 16
