Lovely mellow colours on the church and houses Michael and the figures are a great focal point.

I agree with Christine about the mellow and warm tones of the buildings, as if bathed in sunlight.

Nice to see the finished painting Michael - looks pretty good. You needn't have worried about the figures, they look OK.

Another lovely village Michael and i think you have made a good picture from it. The only thing I could suggest is to strengthen the tone of the tree.

I like it, but I think the tree is the problem - maybe best to leave it alone, though, and just do another painting: not at all keen on trying to adjust watercolours!

I think you are right - might try something but as you say, Robert, not always easy to play around with watercolour.

Very fresh and light - just how you do them best.

Thanks Thea. Actually i have just looked at the original again and the tree works - it doesn't seem to do so on screen - but that reproductions for you - so I'll leave it as it is.

Great watercolour, love the colours. (leave it as it is)

A couple of cartoons aside for the next few days and it's back to watercolours - not one of my best but hope you like it nevertheless.
