Turnpike House

This has worked very well Michael, difficult to be both faithful and yet have some freedom, which I think you have achieved. Hope to go to my art groups first outdoor painting session later, as I have been pushing for this for some time. Will post if to looks ok!

Thanks to you all for your kind comments. Commissions are never easy and not always of very paintable subjects but this wasn't too bad and seemed to work out OK.

I wish my lawn looked that good!! Lovely tranquil painting of a typically English country house. All the greens have been tackled really well and hat's off to you for that - green it my ultimate bugbear to use in a painting.

I recognise your paintings straight away when I open the page. They are always so fresh looking with soft, neat colours and accurate drawings. It's is not an exception and I like it a lot. The different greens work well together and that's not easily achieved.

Thanks Thea and Satu - think I'll paint my next predominantly green picture in sepia - or there again.....
