Lovely painting! As a VERY amateur painter - I wonder - were the buildings masked out before painting the sky?

Reply to Avis Carr from the artist: Thanks for your comment and question - No, the building wasn't masked out before painting the sky. But I did turn the picture upside down, and propped up a bit, and carefully painted up to the edge of the rooves etc so that the wash of the sky colour naturally covered tyhe right area. the white specks were accidental arising from the brush skipping over the texture of the watercolour paper. Are they flying leaves? The picture is approx A4 size. Keep painting - and have fun, Michael
