Tewkesbury floods by Michael Butler

Tewkesbury floods

Hi Michael like these pictures of Tewkesbury and Gloucester. You have a very light touch. The flooding looks pretty bad. Have you done Hereford? I spent three years at teaching college there and love the whole area.

Really like your portfolio of beautiful churches.

Lovely clean bright watercolours

Lovely transparency.

I loved this and recognised this view as soon as I saw it. We used to stay on the Caravan Club site by the side of the Abbey and have so many happy memories of the times we used to holiday there. So sad that Tewksbury is so prone to flooding, I feel so sorry for all the good folk whose homes have suffered so much damage.Your painting is beautiful and so atmospheric.

A watercolour - done in situ from the south across the flooded watermeadows in the afternoon light.
