A lovely story teller of a painting Michael. I like the rough texture you have in the centre of the painting. Is that added before or after painting?

Hi tessa. Thankyou. It was all done in one go but i did paint on a used canvas which did me good service so it was actually wet on dry. Its a method i like.

Great minds think alike, Lynn! i immediately thought of Turner's wonderful sad old ship. So much atmosphere here, Superb rendering of the transparent darks, well done Michael, once again!

As i look at this picture it reminds me more and more of Turners great painting. Its almost a completely unintentional copy minus a few details.
